  • I’m so excited about the upcoming Breakaway Music Festival that’s happening in Kansas City on July 14 and 15th, 2023! This is an event that you definitely don’t want to miss. 

 

  • The festival is offering single day and 2 day passes. You have the option of GA ($139), VIP ($219)  or Ultra VIP ($999)! Single day tickets start at only $79!!

 

  • When it comes to festivals, let’s be real – figuring out what to wear is just as fun as who’s performing.

 

  • So, my advice would be to keep it trendy and comfy. Your Guide to Gov Ball 2023

  • Hey fellow festival lovers, it’s Kristen Mackoul here, Crewfare’s Festie for the summer and I’m going to give you the rundown on Gov Ball 2023!

 

  • Highlighting the best of this year and giving you tips for Gov Ball 2024…Let’s dive in!

 

  • Governors Ball Music Festival was held on June 9-11,  at the a new venue this year – Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY. 

 

  • First off, I have to say that this year’s festival was one for the books. The energy was electric and the line-up was incredible. From rising stars to legendary icons, and edm to hip-hop, there was something for everyone.

 

 

  • One of the standout performances for me was definitely Sofi Tukker. Sophie is a Taurus sun, Sagittarius moon. Her captivating stage presence and breathtaking vocals had the entire crowd entranced. Another unforgettable moment was seeing Odesza perform some of their latest songs with a production that wowed, to say the least. Lasers, fireworks, and beautiful colorful graphics – the duo truly can do no wrong!

 

 

 

  • But it wasn’t just about the music. The festival grounds were expansive and well-organized, with plenty of food, drink and activity options to keep us fueled throughout the day. The atmosphere was relaxed and vibey, with people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate the power of music.

 

  • I loved seeing how creative and trendy the outfit’s were at Gov Ball. I kept it trendy and comfy, last minute swapping out my platform boots for sneakers. To shop these and all my festival looks, click here! 

 

 

  • If you’re a music lover, I highly recommend getting your tickets in advance, and booking your hotel through Crewfare to save money and be as close as possible to the new festival grounds in Queens!

 

 

 

  • We stayed at The Four Points by Sheraton in Flushing, which was a quick train ride on the 7 and a brisk walk to the fest. We also ate some amazing food in the area surrounding our hotel.

Get Ready for Gov Ball with Our Festie!

  • Hey fellow music lovers! It’s Kristen Mackoul here, Crewfare’s Festie for the summer and I’m going to prep you for Gov Ball weekend!

 

  • The Governor’s Ball is back, and it’s set to rock New York City on June 9-11 in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. This annual outdoor music festival features a diverse lineup of over 60 artists across multiple stages, including some of the biggest names in the industry.

 

  • This year, we can expect to see headliners such as Lizzo, Odesza and Kendrick Lamar taking the stage alongside dozens of other talented artists. With food vendors, art installations, and an epic skyline view of NYC, Governors Ball is an experience like no other. And with the event taking place over three days, there’s plenty of time to explore everything the festival has to offer.

 

  • But that’s not all! If you’re an EDM fan, you’re in luck. Over the same weekend, there are a ton of other events happening in NYC. Here’s some events I recommend:

 

  • June 8- Dabin at Brooklyn Mirage
  • June 9- Will Clark at Ruins
  • June 10- City Fox Regenerate at Brooklyn Mirage 
  • June 11- Excision at Brooklyn Mirage 

 

  • If you’re wondering what the festival vibe is, think trendy casual. Get ready to embrace the latest trends with eye-catching pieces like bustier tops, low rise bottoms, y2k sunglasses, and comfy platform sneakers or booties. Don’t forget to bring along a light jacket and pack your sunscreen as well, because the weather can be warm during the day but cool off at night!

Welcome to the vibrant city of Charleston, South Carolina that is hosting the 2nd year of the highly anticipated High Tide Music Festival! As you immerse yourself in the pulsating beats and electric atmosphere, take the time to explore the local gems and experiences that make this city truly unique. Let’s dive into the ultimate guide on what to do while in town for the High Tide Music Festival 2023!

It’s the day before the festival… let’s take advantage of the day by exploring the charming town of Charleston. First, coffee and shopping are a must before the nighttime activities start! We recommend checking out the downtown Charleston area with some of our favorite shops and things to do listed below.

OUTDOOR EXPLORING: 

Once your crew has explored downtown Charleston we recommend spending the rest of your afternoon chillin in Hampton Park.  This is a gorgeous area with nature trails and tables where you can have a picnic as well. 

From here you can walk The Battery for sunset down to White Point gardens to catch the perfect view of sunset downtown. 

DINNER:

Indecisive about dinner? We have some options and the best menu picks for you to choose from.

 

Le Farfalle (fettuccine, spicy tomato sauce, whipped ricotta, and oregano)

Brunch…is always a good idea.

For an upscale brunch, we recommend Halls chophouse (above) which has a great selection of everything from omelets, french toast, and waffles to crab cakes, steaks, and biscuits and gravy. YUM! 

Tavern and Table (above) is another great option if you’re looking for brunch with a view of the water. They have everything from $7 mimosas and avocado toast to $10 bloody mary’s and burgers! 

 

ACTIVITIES: 

Wanna change up your look? If you’re interested in a new piercing we recommend checking out Studs in downtown Charleston.

Go sailing and take a yacht tour. Bring food, drinks, and your crew on board! You can book your adventure here.

Walk around Rainbow Row for pastel-colored buildings 

and check out Charleston City Market next to King Street (the 3rd biggest shopping district in the USA).

End the day with a ghost tour in the Old City Jail and drinks on the rooftop at Vendue.
